tresorit is a file hosting service focused on data security. All data is automatically end-to-end encrypted, so it is not possible for the provider to read the data even if someone gets access to the server.

Jottacloud is a Norwegian file hosting service that offers their service for personal and business use. Office documents can be viewed and edited directly in the application. Jottacloud provides apps for most major platforms like Windows, macOS, Android, iOS and a CLI tool.

pCloud is a file hosting service from Switzerland with good prices and with apps for many platforms. Apps are offered for Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS and Android. Additionally, browser add-ons are offered with which, for example, images can be quickly stored in pCloud's storage.

In the basic plan, the data is not encrypted on the client, but there is an extra that can be purchased to activate zero-knowledge encryption.

Proton Drive is an end-to-end encrypted file hosting service with a strong focus on privacy. It is a product from the Swiss company Proton, which is also the maker of Proton Mail, Proton Calendar and Proton VPN. The product is new, so it does not have client apps just yet, but we hope they will follow soon.

Nextcloud is an open source file hosting service for self-hosting. The German company behind Nextcloud sells enterprise support for safe and compliant usage in companies or other organizations. In addition to file hosting services, which is marketed as Nextcloud Files, there is also Nextcloud Talk and Nextcloud Groupware. Nextcloud Talk offers audio and video calls and Nextcloud Groupware a calendar, contacts and email management. All products together are called Nextcloud Hub.
